many delays...

Hi again!
It has been quite some time since I have posted.  Many things have been taking
up my time and my thoughts.  But I would like to share a few cards that
I have done over about the last 6 months.

Many Thank You cards have been needed.  So that is mostly what I have done.
I have way to many to post all of them.
So here are a few...

I will post a few other cards that I have done some time ago but have not had time to post them.

As always...thank you for stopping by!!

Love Card!

Here is a quick card that I did.
I used a new damask background stamp.
It's a very easy card to do!

Thanks for stopping in!

ME & THEE!

This is another project that has been in the 'vault' for quite sometime!

I finally found a frame that I liked and that I thought would work for this one.

The photo really doesn't look as good as it is in person.

Wooden letters all painted black and the golden frame matches our room perfectly!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Feature Wall!!

So I have wanted to do this technique for quite some time and I finally
decided this was the 'lucky' wall!
It is a wall that we thought should be the feature of the living room...
especially because it houses the fireplace!

Use your stencil with gloss or glaze. I used poly urethane cause that is what I had.
It deepens the color slightly and adds a nice sheen!

I love the outcome!
Gave me the unique feature wall I was looking for!! Hope you try it!

Here is before....

This is beginning...

The rest are the finale'!

Time to do more in another room!! :)

Thanks for stopping by!

The end result!

Well...I finally posted the finished projects!

I thoroughly enjoyed doing both of them!  And will probably do more!

Here is a collage of the paper wreath!  It is now hanging in my office (which I figured was appropriate since it is made from a very old dictionary!)

And here is the drywall mud canvas art work.
Next time I will do the back black first though. It was time consuming to do
it after the mudding was done.

Well....if you have any questions about the projects please don't hesitate to ask!

Thanks for stopping in!!

Love doing projects!!

Hi again!

WHAT??
Two posts in one day!
Crazy!

Well...I have spent some time doing some cool projects.

I have yet to put the finishing
touches on them...but I thought I would show you them thus far!

This first one is one I have been thinking of doing for years!  So finally I have tried it on a small scale to see if I am even capable!
HAHA!

This is on a medium size canvas. First I had to sketch the image onto the canvas.
Then I used drywall mud to add the 3D effect!

I did about 3 coats.  Next time I would stop at 2. Here it is dried.
I think I am going to paint the exposed canvas with black. Then spray it to seal it...and...
its done!  (My next plan is to pick a wall and get 'mudding'!!)

Next I did a paper wreath!  They are all over Pinterest right now!!

I have a collection of pretty old books.  This one was an old Canadian Dictionary for Schools.
Last printed in 1944.

I gingerly took it apart!  The pages were quite brittle. I would compare them to Philo pastry!!

Next I rolled a ton of them into cone shapes and used a piece of tape to hold them.

Then I stapled them to a square of cardboard starting at 12, 3,6,& 9 0'clock positions.
Now...I have to go hunting for some bling for the center!
Not sure what room I like this for yet. The office is kinda neat because it is a dictionary!
BUT....made my craft room will win out!

I will post the projects when they are hanging in their new homes!!

Thanks for stopping by!

More cards!

I was able to work on a few cards to replenish my stockpile!

This first one I did for a friend who made me a scarf! (I know I need to send cards to others
that have made me sweet gifts!)

I love this next one.  The chihuahua image is so cute! His eyes and the bone are covered in
crystal effects to gloss them up!

Next is a simple card.
The background was run through the cuttle bug and the flowers are embossed with embossing powder and then colored with copics on the backsides.

The next 2 are to put in my "BABY" stockpile!
The hippos are colored with copics & then I used the colorless blender pen to remove color in a striped pattern.  The bow was made by doing the finger bow techinique.  I don't have a link to it but I'm sure it is all over you tube!  =)

Thanks for stopping by!!

Take care and I hope to return soon!!

Cards!!!

Finally...I have a couple of cards to post.

These are ones that I have done for my niece who will be a married woman on Jan.25/2014  So exciting!

Here is the one for the wedding day!  It is hard to tell but the white cardstock is metallic. (it is white but the pic turned out yellowish!)

This one is for one of her showers. The personal shower!

Thanks for coming by!
If you have any questions please leave me a note in the comments.

Take care!!
